Generally speaking, yes. However, you can avoid the overhead associated with multiple calls to the ossinit() function by simply creating a duplicate copy of an existing ossGlobal structure for each thread. See the OSS ASN.1/C API Reference Manual for more about the ossDupWorld() function.
However, you still have to call the ossterm ()/ossWterm() function for each ossGlobal environment structure in use in each thread.
