Yes, there is such an example. You can download it here for both UNIX and Windows.
You can use the attachments to see for yourself the benefits of automatic decoding. If you have the OSS ASN.1 Tools for C installed, do the following steps to compile and run the samples on UNIX:
(a) Edit file autodec.mak to point BASE_DIR to where the OSS ASN.1 Tools for C is installed.
(b) Change directory to opentype and say:
make -f autodec.mak
to create autodec.out and manualdec.out.
On Windows use either Visual Studio 2008 to run the 2 automatic and manual decoding examples. You will need to do some simple adjustment based on the location of your OSS ASN.1 Tools installation for the include directory and for the static library soeddefa.lib.
If you target an operating system other than Windows or UNIX, you can also use either of these zip files and discard the Windows- or UNIX-specific files.
The samples included with some of the Knowledge Center answers are meant for your general understanding of the OSS products. Different versions of the products might produce slightly different outputs. Consult the products documentation and samples for the most up-to-date products information and code examples.
