Is it alright to use ossEncode()/ossDecode() endlessly without calling ossterm() between each call of ossEncode() /ossDecode()? Does ossEncode()/ossDecode() free the memory it allocates by itself or does it rely on ossterm() to free it later?

It is fine to use ossEncode() and/or ossDecode() endlessly without calling ossterm() or ossWterm() in between each call. The encoder and decoder both free the temporary memory that they allocate, but require you to explicitly free the memory for the output that they pass back.
