Why do I get _oss_run_SOED() or _oss_run_TOED() as an unresolved external symbols when I am trying to link?

The most likely reason for that kind of problem is one of the following:

  • You are using an out of date or invalid ossinfo file. Make sure that you are using the most recent ossinfo-file that came with the runtime libraries for the platform that you are going to target.
  • Your OSSINFO environment variable is not pointing to the directory location where the ossinfo-file resides. Make sure the environment variable is set properly and that is exported by the shell.
  • You are not using the asn1dflt-file when cross-compiling or are using the wrong asn1dflt-file. If you are cross-compiling to some target platform other than the one the OSS ASN.1 compiler is running on, you should always use the right asn1dflt-file that came for that target platform.

For more information see the answer to the question: How do I cross-compile to a different platform?
