What is the difference between the LED (Lean Encoder/Decoder) & SOED (Space-Optimized Encoder/Decoder)?

In general, the LED supports all of the features that the SOED does. For a list of exceptions, see the Runtime Restrictions section.

If you need to use any of the SOED features or APIs which are not supported by the LED, you can link with both the SOED and LED libraries as described in the documentation for the -lean compiler option.
