The .h and .cpp files generated by the OSS ASN.1 compiler for C++ are too big. Can I split the ASN.1 compiler's output into multiple smaller files?

Yes, for such cases use the ASN.1 compiler option -maxClassesInFile #, where # is the number of classes contained in each generated C++ file.

For example:

asn1cpp ... your_asn1_file -maxClassesInFile 100

This will result in multiple output files:

your_asn1_file.cpp, your_asn1_file1.cpp, your_asn1_file2.cpp, etc.

and:

your_asn1_file.h.

More details can be found in the section entitled "2.4.28 -maxClassesInFile" in the OSS ASN.1 Compiler for C++ Reference Manual (September 2010 Edition).
