What's New in NAS-1Step 5G r16.12.0 v8.4.0
Enhancements
- NAS-1Step now supports encoding/decoding of the EAP (Extensible
Authentication Protocol) messages embedded within the 5G NAS messages.
The implementation conforms to the formats specified in RFC 4187
(Extensible Authentication Protocol Method for 3rd Generation -
Authentication and Key Agreement) and RFC 5448 (Improved Extensible
Authentication Protocol Method for 3rd Generation - Authentication and
Key Agreement).
- The OSS product installers now support unattended silent installation.
NAS-1Step requires the location of the ossinfo file at
installation. The command to install NAS-1Step in
silent unattended mode would be as follows:
<installer name> -s -v/qn -v"OSSINFO=\"<path to ossinfo file>\""
where
<installer name>
is the name of the installer executable.
<path to ossinfo file>
is the fully qualified path to the location of the
ossinfo file.
In unattended silent installation mode, the installers will print no messages
when successful. On error, a popup that indicates what error occurred is
displayed.
This documentation applies to NAS-1Step for 5G v8.4.0 for 3GPP Release 16.12.0.
