If you need help locating your ossinfo file, contact customerservice@oss.com.

To install the software:

  1. You must have administrator privileges to install the NAS/C++ Encoder Decoder Library for LTE/EPC for 3GPP Release 13.10.0.

Download and run the installation executable appropriate to your license/platform. Follow the on-screen instructions. The install program prompts you for the location of the ossinfo file. Specify the folder location using the Browse button or allow the program to search for the file. Once the license key is found, it is validated and copied to the \Program Files\OSS Nokalva folder. When installation is complete, launch the program from the OSS NAS API for C++ program menu.

By default, the installation folder is
    \Program Files\OSS Nokalva\nascpp-r13.10\<platform name>\<version number>
However, the installation program gives you the option to select a different folder, if you wish.

NOTE: If you are installing a Windows 32-bit (x86) version of the software on a Windows 64-bit (x64) system, the default installation folder will be
    \Program Files (x86)\OSS Nokalva\...\
  2. Samples can be found in the \ProgramData\OSS Nokalva\nascpp-r13.10\<platform name>\<version number>\samples folder. Information about running the samples can be found by selecting Samples Read Me from the program menu.

The License Key: A valid ossinfo license authorization file is required to successfully install and run the NAS/C++ Encoder Decoder Library for LTE/EPC for 3GPP Release 13.10.0.

To install the software:

  1. Copy the contents of the nascpp-r13.10_<platform>_<version>.zip file to any directory.
  2. For information on setting up required environment variables and using the NAS/C++ Encoder Decoder Library for LTE/EPC for 3GPP, review the WELCOME.HTML file. Information about running the samples is located in the README.TXT file in the samples/ subdirectory.

NOTE: If you are installing a 30-day trial version, see the following steps:

  1. A valid ossinfonascpptrial license authorization file is required to successfully run the OSS ASN.1 Tools Compiler.
  2. Unzip the 30-Day Trial License Key zip file previously downloaded and extract the ossinfonascpptrial license key to a folder of your choice.
The OSS ASN.1 Compiler will not run unless it can locate this file. The compiler looks at the OSSINFOTRIAL environment variable for the name of the directory in which the license key is located. If the OSSINFOTRIAL environment variable is not defined, the compiler searches for the ossinfonascpptrial license key in the /usr/local/ossasn1 directory.
  3. To set the OSSINFOTRIAL variable in
    • csh-like UNIX shells (csh, tcsh, etc.), use the following command:
setenv OSSINFOTRIAL <path to directory containing ossinfonascpptrial file>
    • sh-like UNIX shells (sh, ksh, bash, etc.), use the following command:
export OSSINFOTRIAL=<path to directory containing ossinfonascpptrial file>
