Installing the OSS NAS Tools for Java for 5G

Applies to: NAS/Java 5G r16.8.0 v3.2.0

NOTE: For a 30-day trial version, copy the ossinfonasjavatrial license file (supplied separately) into the lib/ subdirectory of the OSS NAS Tools for Java for 5G for 3GPP Release 16.8.0 software installation. See the WELCOME.HTML file in the doc directory for information on setting up the OSSINFO environment variable.

To install the software:

  1. Unzip the nasjava5GS-r16.8.0_<platform>_<version>.zip file to a directory of your choice.
  2. Open the WELCOME.HTML file in the doc directory, where you will find a link to the NAS/Java 5G API manual in the Product Documentation section, as well as other helpful links.
  3. Run the examples from the samples/ subdirectory of the OSS NAS Tools for Java for 5G for 3GPP Release 16.8.0 product installation. Use Apache Ant to build the samples. For more information, see the README.TXT file in each sample directory.
  4. To develop and run applications that use the NAS/Java API, add the ossNAS.jar and ossNAS5gs1680.jar class libraries to your CLASSPATH or project classpath setting.
