How do I decode a message?

In order to decode data, you must have at hand an instance of OssBuf whose value field references the desired encoding. If you have this, you can simply call the ossDecode() function passing to it:

  • the address of an integer type variable holding the identification number of the PDU to be decoded;
  • the address of the OssBuf instance containing the reference to the encoding;
  • the address of a pointer which will reference the decoded PDU

When the decoder returns you will be able to access the data through the passed pointer by casting the decoded PDU type.
