Installing NAS-1Step for 5G

Applies to: NAS-1Step 5G r15.4.0 v7.1.0

The License Key: A valid ossinfo license authorization file is required to successfully install and run the NAS-1Step for 5G for 3GPP Release 15.4.0. This file is provided by email at the time of purchase and contains specific information about your license and the system on which you are authorized to run the program. Note that if you are installing a 30-day trial version of the NAS-1Step for 5G, the license authorization filename is ossinfonas1steptrial.

If you need help locating your ossinfo file, contact customerservice@oss.com.

To install the software:

  1. You must have administrator privileges to install the NAS-1Step for 5G for 3GPP Release 15.4.0.

    Download and run the installation executable appropriate to your license/platform. Follow the on-screen instructions. The install program prompts you for the location of the ossinfo file. Specify the folder location using the Browse button or allow the program to search for the file. Once the license key is found, it is validated and copied to the \Program Files\OSS Nokalva folder. When installation is complete, launch the program from the OSS 5G NAS-1Step program menu.

    By default, the installation folder is 
    \Program Files\OSS Nokalva\nas1step5gs-r15.4.0\<platform name>\<version number>
    However, the installation program gives you the option to select a different folder, if you wish.

    NOTE: If you are installing a Windows 32-bit (x86) version of the software on a Windows 64-bit (x64) system, the default installation folder will be 
    \Program Files (x86)\OSS Nokalva\...\
  2. Samples can be found in the \ProgramData\OSS Nokalva\nas1step5gs-r15.4.0\<platform name>\<version number>\samples folder. Information about running the samples can be found by selecting Samples Read Me from the program menu.
