Installing the OSS NAS Tools for Python for LTE/EPC

Applies to: NAS/Python LTE/EPC r16.7.0 v3.0.2

NOTE: For a 30-day trial version, setup the OSSINFOTRIAL environment variable. Its value must specify the absolute pathname of the directory that contains the ossinfonaspytrial license file (provided separately).

To install the software:

  1. Unzip the naspython-r16.7.0_<platform>_<version>.zip file to a directory of your choice.
  2. Open the WELCOME.HTML file in the doc directory, where you will find a link to the NAS/Python API manual in the Product Documentation section, as well as other helpful links.
  3. Run the examples from the samples/ subdirectory of the OSS NAS Tools for Python for LTE/EPC for 3GPP Release 16.7.0 product installation. For more information, see the README.TXT file in each sample directory.
  4. To develop and run applications that use the NAS Python API, either append the python/ directory to the sys.path variable or add that directory to the contents of the PYTHONPATH environment variable. Additionally, if you are running the OSS NAS Tools for Python on Windows, it is necessary to add the lib/ directory to the system PATH environment variable.
