Installing the OSS NAS Tools for C++ for 5G

The License Key: A valid ossinfo
license authorization file is required to successfully install and run the OSS NAS Tools for C++ for 5G for 3GPP Release 16.8.0. This file is provided by email at the time of purchase and contains specific information about your license and the system on which you are authorized to run the program. Note that if you are installing a 30-day trial version of the OSS NAS Tools for C++ for 5G , the license authorization filename is ossinfonascpptrial.

To install the software:

You must have administrator privileges to install the OSS NAS Tools for C++ for 5G for 3GPP Release 16.8.0.
Download and run the installation executable appropriate to your license/platform.
Follow the on-screen instructions. The install program prompts you for the location
of the ossinfo file. Specify the folder location using the
Browse button or allow the program to search for the file. Once
the license key is found, it is validated and copied to the \Program Files\OSS Nokalva folder. When installation is complete, launch the
program from the OSS 5GS NAS 3GPP 16.8 Tools for C++ 8.3 program menu.
By default, the installation folder is
\Program Files\OSS Nokalva\ossnascpp5GS-r16.8.0\<platform name>\<version number>
However, the installation program gives you the option to select a different folder, if you wish.
NOTE: If you are installing a Windows 32-bit (x86) version of the software on a Windows 64-bit (x64) system, the default installation folder will be
\Program Files (x86)\OSS Nokalva\...\

Samples can be found in the \ProgramData\OSS Nokalva\ossnascpp5GS-r16.8.0\<platform name>\<version number>\samples folder. Information about running the
samples can be found by selecting Samples Read Me from the program menu.
To install the software:
- Copy the contents of the ossnascpp5GS-r16.8.0_<platform>_<version>.zip file to any directory.
- For information on setting up required environment variables and using the OSS NAS Tools for C++ for 5G for 3GPP, review the WELCOME.HTML file. Information about running the samples is located in the README.TXT file in the samples/ subdirectory.
NOTE: If you are installing a 30-day trial version, see the following steps:
- A valid ossinfonascpptrial
license authorization file is required to successfully run the NAS/C++ Encoder
Decoder Library for 5G for 3GPP.
- Unzip the 30-Day Trial License Key zip file previously downloaded and extract the
ossinfonascpptrial license key to a folder of your choice.
The OSS NAS Tools for C++ for 5G for 3GPP will not run unless it can locate this file. The program looks at the OSSINFOTRIAL environment variable for the name of the directory in which the license key is located. If the OSSINFOTRIAL environment variable is not defined, the program searches for the ossinfonascpptrial license key in the /usr/local/ossasn1 directory.
