Part of mimoOn's LTE eNodeB Protocol Stack development requires the use of ASN.1. The engineering team undertook a thorough market analysis of ASN.1 tools, both commercial and open source. The OSS software supports any valid ASN.1 protocol. As LTE protocols progress from Rel 8, to 9, to 10, and beyond, mimoOn can rely on OSS. Should mimoOn need to support other platforms in the future, it can license one of the many OSS ASN.1/C libraries which have already been ported to 500+ platforms, or OSS can port its libraries to meet mimoOn's needs.
