What format do values for OBJECT IDENTIFIER types have to be in by default before I can send them for encoding?

Before you send an OBJECT IDENTIFIER value for encoding you have to put it into the ENCODED representation. This representation is simply the BER encoded contents of the OBJECT IDENTIFIER value. You can use the ossDotValToEncodedOid() and ossAsnValToEncodedOid() functions to convert values of the OBJECT IDENTIFIER type to this ENCODED representation.
