I get a linker message that says a name of the form _oss_run_soed_on_xxxxxx is unresolved, where xxxxxx is a platform identifier (e.g., sparc_solaris_23). How do I get rid of this error?

Generally speaking, the following DLLs are always needed when using the space-optimized encoder/decoder:

  ossapi.dll
  soedapi.dll
  ossdmem.dll
  soedber.dll/soedper.dll

and the following are always needed when using the time-optimized encoder/decoder:

  ossapit.dll
  toedapi.dll
  toedber.dll/toedper.dll

One of the best ways to find out which other DLLs are used by your application is to use a special utility that show a list of the DLLs that are loaded by different applications at run time. There are two versions of the utility, a GUI and a command line version. You can download either one at http://www.sysinternals.com.
