Can I use ASN.1/C++ API in a multi-threaded application with exceptions turned off? Is there such sample?

Yes, you can. However, you should not use the OSS ASN.1/C++ default error handling mode that is not thread safe. It is recommended to implement your own error handling function.

For more information, see the Custom No-Exceptions Error Handling Mode section.

You can download the following sample code and, for Windows and Linux, respectively. Find more comments in the threaderr.cpp file.

The samples included with some of the Knowledge Center answers are meant for your general understanding of the OSS products. Different versions of the products might produce slightly different outputs. Consult the products documentation and samples for the most up-to-date products information and code examples.
