The .h and .cpp files generated by the OSS ASN.1 compiler for C++ are too big. Can I split the ASN.1 compiler's output into multiple smaller files?

Yes, for such cases use the -maxClassesInFile # ASN.1 compiler option, where # is the number of classes contained in each generated C++ file.

For example:

asn1cpp ... your_asn1_file -maxClassesInFile 100

This will result in multiple output files:

your_asn1_file.cpp, your_asn1_file1.cpp,
your_asn1_file2.cpp, etc.

and:

your_asn1_file.h.

Different versions of the products might produce slightly different outputs. Consult the products documentation and samples for the most up-to-date products information and code examples.
