When using the OSS ASN.1 Tools for Java compiler to generate Java code, is there any way I can separate the Java files into two packages, instead of one module package?

Yes, you can separate the Java files into two packages. Just separate the ASN.1 types into two ASN.1 modules. Each module generates a separate package. Each type generates a Java class within the module's package.

Note that once you have multiple modules the order of the modules listed on the compiler line is important. For more information, see the descriptions of the -root command line option and the OSS.ROOT directive.
